
VISA AND PASSPORT
There are different ways to apply for your visa:

A biometric visa is compulsory for people traveling to Mauritania.
Any holder of a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the territory may apply for this biometric visa from certain Mauritanian diplomatic representations abroad.
Once in Mauritanian territory you can apply for a biometric visa on arrival:
(1) At the international airports of Nouakchott, Nouadhibou or Atar; the latter being only open during the tourist period from September to April .
(2) At the border posts of PK55 Nouadhibou (border of Western Sahara), Rosso and Diama (border of Senegal).
(3) At Nouadhibou airport for boaters who have reached Nouadhibou by sea.
The visa issued on arrival by the National Agency for the Register of Populations and Secure Titles (ANRPTS) costs 55 euros; it is valid for 30 days and only one entry.
There is no exit tax from the territory. However, in the event of non-compliance with the duration of the stay, a regularization will be necessary to be authorized to leave the country.
