"Whoever does not travel should not delay you."
Mauritanian proverb
OUR COUNTRY

When to go
The best period for visiting us is from November to March, when it is not too hot (maximum 20ºC during the day). However, at night it gets very cold, especially in the desert.
Weather
The Sahara region is extremely dry and hot, especially between April and October. In the south of the country, along the Senegal River, it rains between July and September. On the coast, there is more humidity and the temperatures are less extreme. The hottest season is from April to October, when temperatures above 45°C are normal.
